Marc_91 a écrit::D Bonjour Brice,
Dear Steve,
Thanks for the placing, by Marc, of the monument of St-Nazaire on the Web site. I would like to make certain that the facts are correct. My grandfather was Thimothy Mc Auliffe, the Worcester MA sculptor.His son FlorenceJ.McAuliffe, was my father who helped to sculpt the soldier monument of St-Nazaire. Gertrude Withney Vanderbilt was the designer.. Her studiosi were in NY City in Manhattan. Our family is very happy that the monument destroyed by the nazis was rebuilt from the ruins, Thanks to the Forum Le Monde en Guerre and specialy to Marc, for the "last photo with two german soldiers looking at it before its blowing up. Best regards to all. John.[b]
