Bonsoir,
" There is a short description in Munch's "Combat History of Panzerjager Abteilung 653" pp328 in a letter dated 22 February 1988 from Leutnant Heinrich Teriete :
"..........We assumed control of the last remaining "ferdinands/Elefants" in the Berlin area. Then we were an independent company. We never had King- or Jagdtigers. We only received a 5-turret tank. The crew abandoned the vehicle during the final battle for the Zossen training ground near Berlin. My vehicle was knocked out and I was captured along with Hauptmann Ritter and returned home on 2.11.1949."
"
Incidentally, the same page in the same book lists the complement of Panzer-Kp Kummersdorf as including, among the more standard vehicles = 1 Hummel (MGK 151 (Triple), and two Sherman in its mobile tank platoon and in its armoured reconnaissance platoon 1 4-wheel armoured car(7.5cm L/24), 1 captured armoured car (twin), 1 BIVc (2 cm) and 1 BIVc (with machine gun). In its non-mobile tank platoon it lists 1 Tiger Porsche 8.8 L/70, 1 Steyer 8.8 L/70 weapons carrier and 1 P.40.
