This week I was told that a P-47 crash was discovered along the Marche Road near the N 84 highway and A26/E25 super highway. It seems that a new store was being built in the 1980s and when moving the earth they found pieces of a P-47. Some people got the pieces including maybe six fifty caliber machine guns and the engine. The engine was put on display in front of a guy's house in Longvilly but it was later stolen. I would very very much like to see a photo of the parts to look for serial numbers. I think each machine gun's numbers were reported on the Missing Air Crew Report. I would like to know what store is now the crash site of the P-47. Can you learn anything about this discovery of the 1980s and who might have some pieces?
